Community Involvement at The Auto Shop
At The Auto Shop in Jefferson City, we deeply value our community and strive to give back in meaningful ways. We love our community and want to be loved in return. Our commitment extends beyond providing exceptional auto repair services to actively participating in and supporting various local initiatives and programs.
We proudly support Brakes for Breasts, a program dedicated to funding breast cancer research, and participate in Relay For Life, contributing to the fight against cancer. As active members of the Jefferson City Nichols Career Center School Board, both Danny and Kelley Crawford are dedicated to enhancing the educational experience for local students. We also play a significant role in the Jefferson City Rotary Club, where we support the foreign exchange student program, park beautification, and new member initiatives.
Our involvement with the Boys & Girls Club underscores our commitment to fostering a safe and supportive environment for the youth in our community. Additionally, Danny's passion for racing is reflected in his tire and alignment services for race cars, further connecting us to the local sports scene.

The Auto Shop loves Jefferson City and the mid-Missouri community we are a part of, and we love supporting local community events, fundraisers, and causes. We want to be part of our community, like when we donated water and food to local families when a big tornado hit in 2019, adopting families every year for Christmas, and local academic and sport teams. We love our community and we want to be loved in return. Here’s a few of our favorites that we offer support to each year:
Saint Raymond’s House
This organization offers help to mothers fighting addictions. We inspect donated cars from the community and get them running safely and properly before Saint Raymond’s House gives the car to families in need. Each Christmas, the team at The Auto Shop adopts a few of the families from Saint Raymond’s House and offers additional support and holiday cheer.
Hope for Caribbean Kids
Alongside local churches, The Auto Shop donates to get water and food delivered to kids living in the remote areas of the Caribbean where conditions are hard. Danny and Kelley know the lawyer that oversees the trust and the good they are doing for impoverished kids there.
Jefferson City Public Schools -- Automotive Advisory Board
Dan and I both actively volunteer for the Automotive Advisory board with the Jefferson City Public School Nichols Career Center. Along with working with the board we help conduct audits and we provide donation engines for learning. We enjoy working with them as a partner to better educate our up and coming stars!
Brakes for Breasts
Every October, The Auto Shop in Jefferson City takes part in a special offer called “Brakes For Breasts.” Brakes for Breasts is more than a promotion. It’s an organization that unites the hands of Independent Auto Repair Shops across Jefferson City and the entire country for the common good: finding a cure for breast cancer in our lifetime, started by a woman named Leigh Anne Best. Brakes for Breasts supports Dr. Vincent Tuohy’s research efforts to develop a Breast Cancer Vaccine and his prevention philosophy. Our industry stands united to put the Brakes on Breast Cancer!
